Organic products must be certified "organic" by U.S. Department of Agriculture criteria. These products may only contain ingredients and flavors that themselves have been certified as suitable for organic products. In general, organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides or fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients. Organic meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. |
